La Iceland Dance Company invita danzatori con formazione ed esperienza nelle tecniche contemporanee e improvvisazione e capacità performativa all’audizione per le stagioni 2018-20. Si offre contratto a progetto oppure annuale e/o lungo termine. Si cercano danzatori che siano creativi, versatili e independenti con integrità artistica.
L’audizione è solo su invito. La candidatura va scritta in inglese o in islandese includendo curriculum vitae, lettera motivazionale, foto e video (di massimo 5 minuti). Il materiale deve essere aggiornato e recente. La candidatura deve essere inviata entro il 12 agosto 2018 a id@id.is.
I danzatori che saranno invitati riceveranno una notifica email entro il 17 agosto 2018 all’indirizzo fornito nella candidatura.
Le audizioni si terranno presso la sede della Iceland Dance Company al Reykjavik City Theatre il 25 e il 26 agosto 2018.
La Iceland Dance Company (IDC) è la compagnia nazionale di danza dell’Islanda. Fondata nel 1973, la IDC è una istituzione pubblica ma indipendente responsabile per lo sviluppo, la creazione e il nutrimento della danza contemporanea e la coreografia in Islanda. Erna Ómarsdóttir ne è la Direttrice Artistica. La compagnia è intenta a costruire costantemente un repertorio coreografico firmato dai maggiori nomi europei e, allo stesso tempo, cura lo sviluppo della coreografia islandese e nutre i talenti di casa verso un consenso internazionale. La combinazione di questi due approcci costituisce il suo repertorio che la pone in una posizione unica nella scena internazionale. Iceland Dance Company Effettua tournées sia nazionali che internazionali esibendosi in teatri e festival di tutto il mondo come, ad esempio, in Europa, Cina, Canada e Stati Uniti.

Iceland Dance Company Audition
Iceland Dance Company invites dancers educated and experienced in contemporary techniques, improvisation and performance skills to audition for the 2018-20 seasons. Project based and/or a year long contract on offer. We are looking for creative, versatile and independent dancers with artistic integrity.
Please note. Audition is by invitation only. Application should be written in English or Icelandic including cv, letter of motivation, photo and video (max 5 minutes). The material should be current and up to date.

Auditions will be held at the Iceland Dance Company studio at Reykjavik City Theatre August 25th and 26th.
Iceland Dance Company (IDC) is the national dance company of Iceland. Established in 1973, IDC is an independent public institution responsible for developing, creating and nurturing contemporary dance and choreography in Iceland. Erna Ómarsdóttir is the company’s Artistic Director.
Iceland Dance Company is a progressive contemporary dance company constantly building a repertoire of choreography by many of Europe’s leading choreographers. Simultaneously, the company has led the development of Icelandic choreography and nurtured home-grown talents who have received international acclaim. The combination of these two approaches to building its repertoire has created a unique position for IDC on the international dance scene.
The company’s home base is in Reykjavik City Theatre and the company tours both in and out of Iceland. IDC has given numerous outstanding performances in major international dance theatres and at festivals in Europe, China, Canada and the United States.
