Per l’imminente produzione Die Stadt der Frauen (titolo provvisorio) si cerca una ulteriore danzatrice per completare il team artistico che attualmente consiste in due danzatrici , costumista di scena, un compositore, un video artista, un drammaturgo /occhio esterno, un light designer e la coreografa/danzatrice. Si cerca una danzatrice/performer per questo progetto multidisciplinare che si articolerà tra Berlino e Stoccarda, in Germania.
L’audizione si svolgerà a Berlino il 29 agosto2018, con call back il 30 agosto 2018.
Profilo richiesto:
- almeno 5 anni di esperienza professionale (con formazione classica e contemporanea)
- qualsiasi background etnico
- linguaggio di movimento chiaro e musicale
- energia fisica variabile con presenza e focus
- forte nelle decisioni ancora aperte relative al movimento da apprendere e capace di lavorare su specifici tasks
- esperienza nel lavoro con oggetti, costumi ed elementi scenografici
- che si senta a proprio agio a lavorare con la voce
- che parli sia inglese che tedesco e al conoscenza fluente di entrambi è obbligatoria
- basata a Berlino (e se avesse la possibilità di stare a Stoccarda sarebbe il top)
- completa disponibilità per il periodo di prove e degli spettacoli.
Planning
- prove a Berlino tra il 18 settembre e il 13 ottobre poi tra il 22 e il 26 ottobre 2018
- prove dal 29 ottobre al 15 novembre a Stoccarda
- prova di performance il 9 e/o il 10 novembre a Stoccarda (da confermare)
- debutto e spettacoli 16 – 17 e 19 novembre a Stoccarda
- possibilità di spettacoli a Berlino a gennaio 2019 (da confermare)
- ulteriori spettacoli in autunno 2019 e/o primavera 2020.
Retribuzione
Le prove e gli spettacoli sono retribuiti così come le spese di viaggio e l’alloggio a Stoccarda. L’ammontare esatto è soggetto al risultato della richiesta di finanziamento che, al momento, ancora non è stata evasa.
Sul progetto:
Die Stadt der Frauen (La città delle donne) si ispira alla scrittrice e poetessa medievale francese Christine de Pisan che nel 1405 pubblicò il suo libro Le livre de la Cité des Dames considerato il primo libro “femminista” della cultura occidentale. La produzione multimediale ravviva lo spirito di Christine e si oppone all’attuale discorso sulle questioni femministe. La creazione sarà presentata in un palcoscenico aperto che il pubblico attraverserà, quindi sarà un mix tra un’installazione e una performance di danza. Die Stadt der Frauen è la seconda parte di una trilogia coreografica che proseguirà nel 2019/2020.

One additional female dancer needed to join a multidisciplinary project entitled Die Stadt der Frauen.

For the upcoming production Die Stadt der Frauen (working title) we are looking to complete our artistic team – currently consisting of two dancers, a stage/costume designer, a composer, a video artist, a dramaturge/outside eye, a light designer and myself, choreographer and dancer.
We are searching for one female dancer/performer
Profile
– at least 5 years professional experience (classical and contemporary training)
– any ethnic background welcome
– clear movement language and musicality
– a variety in physical energy, presence and focus
– strong in decision making yet open to learning set material or to work with a specifically given movement task
– experience in working with costume objects and stage props
– feeling comfortable working with the voice
– working language is English and German, so fluent knowledge of both mandatory
– based in Berlin (possibility to stay in Stuttgart a plus)
– full availability for the rehearsal period and the shows is a must
Schedule
– rehearsals in Berlin between September 18th and October 13th, as well as between October 22nd and 26th
– rehearsals October 29th to November 15th in Stuttgart
– try-out performance on November 9th and /or 10th in Stuttgart (to be confirmed)
– premiere and performances November 16th, 17th and 19th in Stuttgart
– possibly performances in Berlin in January 2019 (to be confirmed)
– further performances in autumn 2019 and/or spring 2020
Payment
Rehearsals and shows are paid as well as travel costs and accommodation in Stuttgart. The exact amount is subject to the outcome of funding applications that are not fully completed yet.
About the project:
Die Stadt der Frauen is inspired by the French medieval writer and poet Christine de Pizan who published her book Le livre de la Cité des Dames in 1405 that is considered to be the first feminist book in western culture. The multimedia production revives the spirit of Christine and oppose it to the current discourse about feminist issues.
It will be presented in an open stage setting where the audience walks through, so it will be a mixture between an installation and a dance performance.
Die Stadt der Frauen is the second part of a choreographic trilogy to be continued in 2019/2020.
