Adaire to Dance, la maggiore compagnia di danza contemporanea del Derby, con sede al Déda di Derby, nel Regno Unito, cerca un danzatore eccezionale per la tournée regionale di Icarus nel mese di giugno 2017 supportata dall’Arts Council.
Icarus è un lavoro a serata intera basato sul mito greco di Dedalo e Icaro e realizzato in collaborazione con gli artisti digitali Illuminos. Il lavoro prevede interazione con video proiezioni.
Si cerca un danzatore forte nella danza contemporanea, con capacità nel partnering e notevole qualità scenica. Si tratta di prendere un ruolo pre-esistente. I nuovi diplomati sono incoraggiati a candidarsi.
Si tratta di un lavoro pagato con retribuzione settimanale soggetta alla legge della Equity minimum. Inoltre è previsto un contributo per la sistemazione durante le prove.
Le prove si terranno a Derby, nel Regno Unito, seguite da una piccola tournée nel regno Unito.
I danzatori devono essere disponibili nelle seguenti date:
- Prove: dal 7 al 21 giugno 2017 (principalmente al Deda di Derby, con alcuni giorni a Burton)
- Date della tournée: 22 giugno 2017 Burton Brewhouse; 28 giugno 2017 Guildhall; Grantham; 29 giugno 2017 Lincoln Drillhall.
L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà il 25 aprile 2017 alle ore 15:00 al Déda a Derby.

Adaire to Dance Audition (UK)
Adaire to Dance, Derbyshire’s premiere contemporary dance company based at Deda is seeking one outstanding male dancer for their Arts Council funded regional tour of Icarus in June 2017.
Icarus is a full length work in collaboration with digital artists Illuminos, based on the Greek myth of Daedalus and Icarus. The work involves interaction and working with film projection.
We are looking for a strong male dancer proficient in contemporary dance, partnering work and a strong performance quality. You will be required to learn a pre-created role. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
This is a paid role, with weekly fee above the Equity minimum. A contribution to accommodation during rehearsals will also be provided.
Rehearsals will take place in Derby, UK followed by small UK tour
Dancers will need to be available for the following dates:
Rehearsals: 7th – 21st June 2017 (These will be held mainly in Derby at Deda, with the last few days in Burton)
Tour Dates:
Burton Brewhouse – 22nd June
Guildhall; Grantham – 28th June
Lincoln Drillhall – 29th June
Audition is by invitation and will be held on Tuesday 25th April, 3pm at Deda.
