Pangea Art (www.pangeart.co.uk) e il Chinese Arts Space (www.casuk.org) stanno cercando 2 danzatori con forte fisicità, buona tecnica nella danza contemporanea, abilità nell’improvvisazione ed esperienza a lavorare in creazione collaborativa per prendere parte a due settimane di ricerca e ulteriore periodo di lavoro per il nuovo lavoro, Missing Parts, e relativa tournée in nel Regno Unito.
Criteri:
I candidati devono dimostrare di avere capacità tecnica nella danza contemporanea dando preferenza a coloro che hanno conoscenza della danza cinese o altro vocabolario, oltre a improvvisazione, contact e creatività individuale e collaborativa. La compagnia è interessata a danzatori che abbiano esperienza nell’uso della voce, capacità attoriali e nella pratica di lavoro comunitaria con i musicisti e. Persone dell’est asiatico o neri, o minorità etniche sono particolarmente incoraggiate a candidarsi.
Il lavoro:
Lucia Tong coreograferà il nuovo lavoro commissionato dal Chinese Arts Space come parte del Project New Earth che celebra il lavoro del Chinese Labour Corp in WW1.
Il periodo di lavoro è dal 30 agosto all’8 settembre 2016 (incluso il Work in Progress che verrà presentato a Londra) e tournée dalla settimana che inizia il 10 ottobre fino al 16 dicembre con performance al Southbank (più prove che verranno comunicate).
L’audizione è solo su invito il 15 agosto e si terrà a Londra in serata (il.luogo verrà annunciato).

Pangea Art (www.pangeart.co.uk) and Chinese Arts Space (www.casuk.org) are seeking 2 dancers with strong physicality, good contemporary dance technique, improvisation skills and experience in collaborative creation to take part in a 2-week research & development period of a new work, Missing Parts, leading to UK tour.
CRITERIA:
Applicants must demonstrate a high technical ability in contemporary dance with preference given to those with knowledge of Chinese dance or other dance vocabulary, improvisation, contact and creating individually & collaboratively. We are interested in applicants with experience in using their voice, acting skills and working with musicians and a community cast. People of East Asian heritage and Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.
THE WORK:
Lucia Tong will choreograph this new work commissioned by the Chinese Arts Space as part of their Project New Earth project celebrating the work of the Chinese Labour Corp in WW1. The piece will look at the long journeys and hard work these labourers faced in unknown lands.
Work Period is from 30th August- 8th September 2016 (including Work in Progress sharing in London) week beginning Oct 10th-UK tour Dec 16th Southbank performance (plus rehearsals tbc)
Audition is by invitation only on 15th August in the evening in London, location TBA
