K3 di Amburgo. Programma di residenza 2017-2018: 8 mesi di residenza a tre coreografi ad inizio carriera; workshop; internato per organizzazione, comunicazione, drammaturgia. (Germania).

Come parte del programma di residenza il K3 di Amburgo fornisce ogni stagione otto mesi di residenza a tre coreografi che sono all’inizio della loro carriera ma hanno già prodotto qualche proprio lavoro coreografico. La residenza inizia agli inizi o a metà agosto e prosegue fino alla fine di marzo o inizi aprile dell’anno successivo.
Il programma di residenza è unico nel suo genere grazie alla durata di 8 mesi e alla stretta relazione con gli altri corsi professionali offerti dal K3. La residenza include supporto drammaturgico, tecnico e produttivo. Inoltre collega strettamente i progetti proposti dai coreografi in residenza con gli altri vari programmi in corso del K3.
Lo scopo della residenza è lo sviluppare e rafforzare la connessione tra la pratica coreografica, la ricerca, la produzione artistica e la qualità. La durata di 8 mesi dovrebbe dare tempo e spazio a sufficienza per superare i convenzionali ritmi produttivi e aprire lo spazio allo scambio con altri artisti e parti interessate in modo da ricevere nuovi impulsi e contatti. Nel corso della residenza i tre coreografi svilupperanno ciascuno uno spettacolo a serata intera che sarà presentato verso la fine della residenza nel teatro-studio P1 in tre serate distinte.
Requisiti per la candidatura:
- I candidati devono essere all’inizio della loro carriera ma anche aver già realizzato qualche proprio progetto.
- Il candidato deve essere disponibile per l’intero durata della residenza da inizio/metà agosto 2017 fino alla fine di marzo/inizio aprile 2018 ad Amburgo.
- Il candidato deve essere intenzionato a partecipare al programma e agli eventi del K3
- Il candidato deve essere interessato sia ad avere scambi con altri artisti che con il pubblico.
- Il candidato ha già esperienza e interesse verso la coreografia a livello discorsivo, riflettendo sul proprio lavoro, così come lavorando su se stesso come organizzatore.
- Saranno accettate solo le candidature individuali; quelle di compagnie o gruppi non saranno prese in considerazione.
- Si accettano candidature di ogni campo coreografico (anche danza per pubblico di teatro-ragazzi ad esempio). Non ci sono esclusioni di genere.
Il programma di residenza copre:
- borsa di studio mensile
- budget di produzione per la performance alla fine della residenza
- uso degli studi/sale del K3
- un mentore nel campo della drammaturgia, e supporto organizzativo, assistenza tecnica, e pubbliche relazioni
- partecipazione attiva al programma del K3
- partecipazione al programma nelle competenze pratiche di produzione
- facoltativo: partecipazione al regolare training professionale e ad altri workshops offerti al K3
- facoltativo: partecipazione al programma “MA-Performance Studies” presso l’Università di Amburgo.
Candidature:
Il periodo per candidarsi alla residenza per la stagione 2017/18 inizia l’8 luglio alle ore 12:00. La scadenza per la presentazione delle candidature è il 14 agosto 2016 (alle 23:59).
Le candidature devono essere presentate solo in lingua inglese.
Le candidature devono esser fatte online tramite il formulario che sarà attivo durante il periodo di apertura del bando e che dovrà contenere dettagliatamente la descrizione del proprio background artistico, la motivazione e il progetto artistico proposto per la residenza.
Il formulario per la candidatura può essere compilato esternamente, editato e salvato durante il periodo compreso tra 8 luglio e 14 agosto alle ore 23:59. Tutte le candidature che non saranno state mandate entro questa scadenza saranno eliminate. Non è possibile candidarsi in altro modo o oltre la suddetta scadenza.
Siete liberi di elaborare la vostra candidatura in qualsiasi momento durante il periodo di iscrizione. Ma fate attenzione a non dimenticare di salvare tutti i cambiamenti che avete fatto. Per vostro si consiglia di fare un back-up nel vostro computer!
Quando avete compilato il formulario e controllato che tutte le informazioni fornite siano corrette e complete, mandate la candidatura cliccando sul tasto “send” (invio) nell’ultima pagina del formulario stesso.
Dopo aver inviato il modulo riceverete una email di conferma di avvenuta ricezione della candidatura. Questa email conterrà tutti i dettagli della vostra candidatura. Stampatela e mandatene due copie firmate via posta. La scadenza per l’invio postale è il 15 agosto (fa fede il timbro postale).
Notare bene: La vostra candidatura sarà considerata completa solo se saranno ricevute entrambe, quella online e le due copie firmate via posta. Le candidature incomplete non saranno prese in considerazione per la selezione.
Si chiede la cortesia di provvedere ai propri video solo a mezzo internet con link on-line (se possibile usate vimeo.com poiché altri siti potrebbero causare difficoltà coi copyrights ed essere bloccati in Germania). Se per ragioni tecniche ciò non sia possibile si prega di mandare un DVD o al massimo 2 progetti via posta (4 copie di ciascun DVD). Si prega di notare che si accettano solo DVD con formato .wmv, .mov, .avi, .mp4, .mpg.
K3 non coprirà alcun costo per la dogana e il materiale che comporti dei costi di accettazione sarà respinto! Si prega di indicare chiaramente sulla busta che essa contiene solo il materiale per la candidatura. L’importo totale dell’affrancatura e il valore del vostro materiale non può eccedere i 20 Euro.
Per favore non mandare altro materiale oltre a quello dettagliato sopra. Si prega inoltre di mandare il materiale in modo che possa essere facilmente archiviabile.

PROBEBÜHNE EINS
Probebühne Eins è un formato di workshop creato per mostrare danza contemporanea e pezzi performativi al primo stadio di sviluppo. A intervalli regolari K3 offre l’opportunità di presentare works-in-progress e condividere diversi approcci alla scena. Ogni presentazione non deve eccedere la durata di 10 minuti.
La dotazione tecnica per lo showing è: tappeto nero da danza, luci basilari, musica tramite CD (oppure via notebook o lettore mp3), due microfoni wireless, video proiezione con lettore DVD (oppure con notebook o lettore mp3) su schermo statico di m. 3×4 sul fondale nero del palco. I notebook e/o i lettori mp3 devono essere forniti dai partecipanti. La scena non può essere cambiata o estesa.

RESIDENCY PROGRAMME 2017/2018
As part of its residency programme, K3 provides three eight-month residencies per season to choreographers, who are currently at the beginning of their career, but have already produced some choreographic work of their own. The residency begins around the beginning or middle of August and runs until end of March / beginning of April of the following year.
The residency programme is one-of-a-kind because of its length of eight months and is closely linked to the other courses and professional training programs offered by K3. The residency includes mentoring and dramaturgical, technical, and production related support. It moreover links the projects proposed by the choreographers in residence closely to the various other on going programs of K3.
The goal of the residency is to develop and strengthen the connections between choreographic practice, research, artistic production, and qualification. The length of eight months should provide sufficient time and space for overcoming conventional rhythms of production and open up space for exchange with other artists and interested parties in order to receive new impulses and contacts. Over the course of the residency the three choreographers will each develop a full-length piece that is presented towards the end of the residency on the studio stage P1 on three evenings.
Application Requirements:
- The applicant must be at the beginning of his/her career, but should also have already implemented some projects of his/her own.
- The applicant is available for the entire duration of the residency from beginning/middle of August 2017 until end of March/ beginning of April 2018 in Hamburg.
- The applicant is willing to participate in K3’s outreach programme and other events at K3.
- The applicant is interested both in engaging in exchange with other artists, as well as with an interested audience.
- The applicant already has some experience in / is interested in dealing with choreography on a discursive level, reflecting her/his own work, as well as working in a self-organised manner.
- Only applications by individuals can be accepted. Applications by teams or ensembles cannot be taken into consideration.
- We accept applications in all choreographic fields (also dance for young audience for example). There is no pre-setting or exclusion.
The residency programme covers:
- a monthly scholarship
- a production budget for the performances at the end of the residency
- use of the K3 studios
- an accompanying mentor support from the K3 team in the fields of dramaturgy, organisation, technical assistance, and public relations
- active participation in the K3 outreach programme
- participation in program on practical production skills
- optional: participation in regular professional training and other workshops offered at K3
- optional: participation in the “MA-Performance Studies” programme at the University of Hamburg

The application period for the residency in the 2017/18 season begins July 08 2016 (12:00 noon). The deadline is August 14th 2016 (23:59).
The application can only be made in English!
Applications must be made online via the application form, which will be activated during the application period and which contains e.g. questions concerning artistic background, motivation and details on the artistic project being proposed for the residency.
The online application form can be filled out, edited and saved during the application period (July 08 2016 to August 14th 2016 11:59 pm). All applications, which have not been sent to us by that time, will be deleted. It is not possible to apply in any other way or to extend the deadline.
You are free to rework your application anytime during the application period. Please don’t forget to save all changes made. For your own benefit you should save a backup on your computer!
When you have completed the application form and checked whether all information given is correct and complete, please send us your application by clicking on the “send” button on the last page of the application form.
After you have sent the form, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. This email will contain all the details of your application. Please print out this email and send us two signed copies of the email by post. Deadline for postal application is August 15th 2016 (postmark).
Please note: Your application will only be complete if we receive both, the online application form, as well as two signed copies of the printed confirmation email by post. Incomplete applications will not be considered for the selection process.
We kindly ask you to provide videos of your work only through online video links (if possible please use vimeo.com because other online video sites can cause difficulties with copyrights and might be blocked in Germany). If for technical reasons you are not able to do so, please send us DVDs of max. of 2 projects by post (4 copies of each DVD). Please note that we will only accept DVDs with the formats .wmv, .mov, .avi, .mp4, .mpg.
K3 will not cover any costs for customs. Mailings, which cause costs will not be accepted! Please state clearly on the envelope that it only contains application material. The total amount of postage and value of your material must not exceed 20 Euro.
Please do not send us any further material other than that detailed above. Please refrain from sending costly portfolios. Please send all material in a form that can be easily filed.

PROBEBÜHNE EINS
Probebühne Eins is a workshop format created to show contemporary dance and performance pieces in an early stage of development. In regular intervals, we offer the opportunity to present works-in-progress and share different approaches on stage. Each presentation should not be longer than 10 minutes.
The technical setting for the showing is: black dance floor, basic lighting, sound via CD (or notebook/mp3-player), two wireless microphones, video projection via DVD-player (or notebook/mp3-player) on a 4x3m static screen on the back wall of the stage. Notebooks or mp3-players need to be provided by the participants. The setting can not be changed or extended.
