La Shoonya Indian Contemporary Dance Company (SICDC) cerca danzatori, uomini e donne, con una formazione nella danza contemporanea, classica, jazz o modern per dare vita ad una nuova compagnia che avrà sede a Gand, in Belgio. Oltre a queste preferenze di tecniche, la compagnia accetta candidature di danzatori anche di altri stili.
I danzatori devono avere un interesse a imparare un nuovo vocabolario di movimento, devono essere interessati all’improvvisazione e essere in grado di lavorare in team per creare nuovi lavori e spettacoli . I danzatori che non si possono presentare all’audizione possono inviare un breve video che mostri la loro tecnica unitamente a un curriculum vitae e foto ritratto.
Il lavoro sul contemporaneo portato avanti dalla SICDC è ispirato alla cultura dell’India, alle danze folcloriche indiane e ai film di danza indiani.
L’audizione si svolgerà il 25 ottobre 2015 dalle 14.00 alle 17.00 a Gand, in Belgio presso Danscentrum Polariteit, Verkoningstraat 55.

Audition Shoonya Indian Contemporary Dance Company (SICDC)
The Shoonya Indian Contemporary Dance Company (SICDC) is looking for dancers (male & female) with a background in Contemporary / Ballet/ Jazz/ Modern dance to start a new dance company that will have it’s base in Gent, Belgium. Although this is the preference, dancers well versed with other dance styles may apply too.
Dancers must have a keen interest to learn new vocabulary of movement, must be well versed with improvisation and be able to work as a team to create new work and perform together. Dancers who cannot be present at the audition may send a short video highlighting their technique along with their headshot and CV.
The SICDC will focus on contemporary work that is inspired by Indian culture, folk dances from Indian and Indian film dance to create a unique blend of movement.
The SICDC will be led by Swapnil Dagliya; Artistic Director of the Avayava – Contemporary Dance Festival in India; director of SPACE (Swapnil’s Performing Arts & Contemporary Ensemble) and co-founder of the International Dance Retreat.
