Nacre, la prima compagnia di danza moderna della Contea di Saratoga, nello stato di New York (USA), è alla ricerca di un coreografo ospite per la sua stagione 2015-2016. L’artista selezionato (posizione retribuita) avrà l’opportunità di lavorare con la compagnia creando una pièce originale durante la stagione.

A causa dell’elevato numero delle candidature qualitativamente buone dello scorso anno e relativamente alle committenze e al numero delle rappresentazioni (in crescita) verranno scelti 10 candidati che realizzeranno le loro pièces. Il 6 novembre 2015 nello storico Proctors Theater a Schenectady il pubblico voterà il favorito e al coreografo vincitore sarà offerta la posizione di “coreografo ospite”.
Nacre è un’organizzazione artistica dedicata alla revitalizzazione della coreografia storica di modern dance ma apre le porte ai nuovi artisti emergenti.

Nacre, the Capital Region’s premiere modern dance company, is seeking a guest choreographer for it’s 2015-2016 season. The selected guest artist (paid position) will have the opportunity to work with the company in creating an original piece to be featured during the performance season.

Due to an abundance of quality entries in previous years, and in keeping with Nacre’s commitment to showcasing up and coming work, up to 10 submissions will be chosen to have their pieces featured in our second annual – So You Think You Can Choreograph!? on November 6, 2015 at the historic Proctors Theater in Schenectady. Audience members will vote for their favorite, and the winning choreographer will be offered the guest choreographer position. It’s a unique opportunity to have your work featured and a chance to work closely with this renowned company.
Nacre is a performance organization dedicated to revitalizing historic choreography while opening the arena to new emerging artists.
